GTS System – Active Signal Transmission Without Compromise

Superconductors are considered the ideal model of signal transmission – lossless, precise, and uncolored. But what impresses in cryogenic physics fails in practical application: operation near absolute zero (minus 273.15° C) is neither technically nor practically feasible. The energy required for continuous cooling is immense. In addition, the materials undergo significant length changes, making the cables stiff and brittle like glass – with a high risk of breakage and actual danger of frostbite during handling.

At Groneberg, we therefore pursued a goal that at first sounded utopian – to develop a cable that performs sonically like a superconductor, but without cold, energy consumption, or mechanical instability.

What followed was years of research. Countless prototypes were tested, compared by ear, discarded, and refined. Every element – from dielectric materials to mechanical decoupling – was questioned and reimagined. The result: the GTS System – an active cable concept with a single objective – to allow electrical signals to pass with minimal interference.

At its core lies the GTS power unit: an active control hub with 20 ports for the entire system – speaker, interconnect, digital, and specialized cables. The unit supplies each connected cable individually to actively stabilize signal paths and suppress electromagnetic interference at the source.

The GTS System is more than just a cable – it’s a fully engineered concept for ultimate sonic precision. For systems where every detail matters. And for listeners who know that true progress comes not from effects – but from control.
